Presentation at Society of Wetland Scientists Annual Meeting 2018

On May 31st, I presented at the Society of Wetland Scientists Annual Meeting 2018. I took part in a thought-provoking symposium titled: "Sustaining Wetland Science in a Time of Political Divisiveness and Scienti c Skepticism: Diverse Voices, Transformative Careers, and Impactful Communication". The symposium was organized by Karin Kettenring and Ariana Sutton-Grier and featured a variety of dynamic and encouraging talks largely focused on science communication. I was invited to discuss my experience with crowdfunding and provide advice for other scientists looking to support their research through the platform. Overall, I had a great time attending my first SWS Annual Meeting!
